Andrew James was formed in 1976 by the current Managing director Andrew Whalley. The business has grown from strength to strength over the years and now offers the full spectrum of construction related services for both commercial and domestic clients across many sectors and areas.

We now operate across all of East Anglia and undertake projects from £10k through to £850,000.00. Operating from offices based in Essex we have become a major force within East Anglia and everything we do is driven by safety and customer satisfaction which has become our brand success.

Andrew James has invested heavily in Carbon Neutral technology and training allowing us to now offer schemes with modern carbon neutral technology like photovoltaic cells and air source heat pumps etc. We Have established a specialist green energy company called UGEN Ltd.

The business has a core team of professionals to draw upon and also offers a reliable and standards driven delivery of everything it is tasked with. Professional quality planning, method statements, documentation and consultation is always at the foremost of any project we embark upon. We have a professional management team coupled with a skilled and qualified workforce with the drive and ambition to compete in today’s marketplace.

During 2008 we established a further area of expertise with Daniel Coleman a qualified Civil Engineer and experienced contractor joining us to specialise in Demolition & Structural foundation solutions. With a strong focus on underpinning and specialist structural alteration work we make a well rounded company able to offer a multitude of services to our clients.

The Andrew James Brand is about offering our clients a range of services from the conception of their project through to the final building inner fabric finishes. We have specialist skills and trades ranging from temp works engineers through to carpenters and ground workers within our construction company.
